Last year we had a goal to assemble 1,000 bags and because of the generosity of our community we were able to deliver more than 1,500 bags.
Covid had presented us with many challenges, but it will not stop us from spreading some holiday joy. This year we are going to be grateful for any number of bags we can pack. While we will not be able to host our normal packing party, we will make sure that the love from our community is spread to those in need.
Our Holiday Hope bags are filled with essentials and packed with love. We want our friends experiencing homelessness to experience some holiday warmth and know that they are thought about. Help us pack our bags! If you are unable to donate items, please consider a financial donation through our PayPal Giving Fund and we'll do the shopping for you.
When the nights are coldest, a little bit of hand warming goes a long way. Costco is a fantastic resource for hand warmers.
What we consider part of our daily routine, many living on the streets appreciate the "treat" of getting to brush their teeth.
Who doesn't love a warm blanket on a cold night? Help us give some added warmth. Walmart and other retailers have fleece blankets frequently for $2.50 each.
We place snacks into every bag we pack. From granola bars to canned pasta, any food is appreciated. Please remember that all food has to be in original packaging, and have a pull-top lid.
We have found over the years that one of the most appreciated, unanticipated items are babywipes. Since showers and washing facilities are often unavailable, the ability to clean hands and faces are most welcome.
With the help of some of our partners and donors, we typically have plenty of soap, shampoo, and conditioner for our bags. However, we love to throw in items such as razors, bandaids, cough drops, chapstick, hand sanitizing wipes. We welcome any of these items.
Body cycles don't stop just because you are living on the streets. We create special bags dedicated to the women experiencing homelessness.
Unfortunately, children often fall innocently into homelessness. We create special bags for the kids! We appreciate donations of backpacks, toys, books, blankets, gloves, hats... anything that might help our little ones find some holiday cheer.
Every single bag we pack gets a hand-signed Christmas card.
We have compiled a list of locations where items can be purchased online and delivered directly to us. Please have all items shipped to:

Even if you are unable to personally volunteer or donate to our cause, there are other ways you can help!!
By designating Do Something Incredible as your charity of choice, a percentage of all of your purchases through Amazon Smile will be donated to us!
Gather your co-workers or school club and help collect items for our bags.
We spread our bags out all over the metro Atlanta area. If you are able to deliver some of our bags, let us know!

We also accept cash donations to purchase items for our Holiday Hope for the Homeless bags. 100% of your tax deductible donation purchases necessary items.
While most of us spend the week eating Thanksgiving dinner with our families and friends, many on the streets and in our impoverished areas struggled just to put food on the table. As the holidays approach we celebrate with gifts around our Christmas tree; however, others don’t have socks on their feet or a bed to sleep in. Six years ago, a small group of friends got together to collect items and monetary donations to spread some cheer during the holidays. With just a few individuals working together we were able to purchase enough items to assemble 100 bags filled with snacks, socks, gloves, scarves, hats, personal hygiene items, and a lovely hand written holiday card. We then delivered these bags to the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless. Every one of us saw first-hand the despair of being homeless on a cold December night and the appreciation for random strangers bringing bags full of goodies. Unfortunately, we also learned that our 100 bags would only put a small dent in the 400+ homeless individuals staying there that night. It was then and there that we knew we had to do more.
Our Holiday Hope for the Homeless Packing Party will be held on
